"Illustra" a sharp noir display font is shaped from the characteristics of the villainous, corrupted, and greedy people during the Spanish colonization era in the Philippines during late-nineteenth-century.

The name "Illustra" comes from the word "Illustrados". Ilustrados are the Filipino-educated class during the Spanish colonial era in the late 19th century. The term means “erudite”, “learned”, or enlightened. The Illustrados are the one often credited for providing intellectual grounding for the Philippine Revolution of 1896.

This display font is highly intended to be used in big-scale designs such as headlines, posters, flyers, apparel, quotes, greeting cards, product packaging, album covers, book covers, movies and more.
